Zinc is an essential part of superoxide dismutase - an essential antioxidant. The mitochondrial test profile includes three measures of superoxide dismutase - intracellular, extracellular and mitochondrial superoxide dismutase. The first two need copper and zinc.
The zinc in the multimineral mix (MMM) will maintain levels but additional zinc 30mg at night may be necessary to correct a deficiency. Deficiency is common is CFSs.
Dose 1 tablet at night (this is the time of day when zinc is best absorbed). Keep the zinc tablets next to the toothbrush so you remember to take.
