Copper is an essential part of superoxide dismutase - an essential antioxidant. The mitochondrial test profile includes three measures of superoxide dismutase - intracellular, extracellular and mitochondrial superoxide dismutase. The first two need copper and zinc.
The copper in the multi-mineral mix (MMM) will maintain levels but additional copper 1mg daily may be necessary to correct a deficiency. Deficiency is common is CFSs.
