The manufacturer would expect this product to be tolerated by coeliacs as it does not contain gluten, but the manufacturer does not label it as 'gluten free'.
The reason for this is that although their factory does not handle any ingredients containing gluten, they cannot completely guarantee this further up the supply chain for the 100s of raw materials they hold in stock. This assurance would be required for them to give a 'gluten free' guarantee and label it as such.

The energy molecule ATP is recycled between mitochondria and cells with incredible efficiency. However, if mitochondrial function is impaired, as in CFS, then the leakage of ATP is much higher. For a full explanation see CFS_-_The_Central_Cause:_Mitochondrial_Failure
Cells have then to make brand new ATP. But this is a difficult bit of biochemistry involving many raw materials and a tricky piece of biochemistry called the pentose phosphate shunt - it takes hours, possibly days, to restore normal ATP and this may explain the delayed fatigue and post-exertional malaise in CFS.
D-Ribose allows the cells to skip the difficult bits and feed this five carbon sugar directly into ATP synthesis.
The commonest problem with D-Ribose occurs where there is fermenting gut because it has the potential to be fermented. In this event it should be saved for occasional use as a rescue remedy. It is absolutely fine and safe to take D-Ribose long term so long as you are in ketosis.
Otherwise a reasonable dose would be 5-15 grams daily.

I was diagnosed with CFS/ME in 2001 and was ill for nearly 6 years before I discovered and was tested for mitochondrial dysfunction, subsequently I adopted a regime with d-ribose, acetyl carnitine and coenzyme Q10, with careful pacing this led to what I thought was a 95% recovery, unfortunately in 2015 after 7 years of nearly normal life in which I went back to work part time I relapsed after a short viral illness. I have reinstated my mitochondrial support regime and as always I buy d-ribose from Dr Myhill. Quality and quick service coupled with fair prices mean I wouldn't look anywhere else!
