Magnesium carbonate can be used short term to relieve the symptom of reflux or hyperacidity until one has worked out the cause of this. An acid stomach is an essential part of gut function and defence against disease so magnesium carbonate should be used sparingly. Try not to use within 90 minutes of a meal since a window of time of acidity is so important to digestion.

When taken with Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) it prevents tooth enamel erosion. It also helps relaxation and sleep. Verified Purchase
I use quite a lot of it and so get through 80g quite easily. It would be good to have larger containers to avoid the plastic wastage.
