Manganese is an essential part of superoxide dismutase - an essential antioxidant. The mitochondrial test profile includes three measures of superoxide dismutase - intracellular, extracellular and mitochondrial superoxide dismutase. Mitochondrial superoxide dismutase requires manganese.
The manganese in the multimineral mix (MMM) will maintain levels but additional manganese 3mg daily may be necessary to correct a deficiency. Deficiency is common is CFSs.
Dose 1 tablet with lunch (this is the time of day when manganese is best absorbed - goodness knows how one remembers to do this!).
