Acetyl-L-Carnitine:
Acetyl-L-Carnitine is the fuel pipe which delivers the fuel (acetate groups) into the engines (mitochondria). Levels are often low in CFSs, especially when they are vegetarian (the word carnitine derives from carnivore).
One scoop of Acetyl-L-Carnitine contains one gram. A typical daily dose would be 1-2 grams.

D-Ribose:
The energy molecule ATP is recycled between mitochondria and cells with incredible efficiency. However, if mitochondrial function is impaired, as in CFS, then the leakage of ATP is much higher. For a full explanation see CFS_-_The_Central_Cause:_Mitochondrial_Failure
Cells have then to make brand new ATP. But this is a difficult bit of biochemistry involving many raw materials and a tricky piece of biochemistry called the pentose phosphate shunt - it takes hours, possibly days, to restore normal ATP and this may explain the delayed fatigue and post-exertional malaise in CFS.
D-Ribose allows the cells to skip the difficult bits and feed this five carbon sugar directly into ATP synthesis.
The commonest problem with D-Ribose occurs where there is fermenting gut because it has the potential to be fermented. In this event it should be saved for occasional use as a rescue remedy. It is absolutely fine and safe to take D-Ribose long term so long as you are in ketosis.
Otherwise a reasonable dose would be 5-15grams daily.

Niacinamide:ONE TABLET CONTAINS 1500mg Niacinamide.
Other ingredients : stearic acid, modified cellulose gum and magnesium stearate. Suitable for vegetarians & hypoallergenic.
Niacinamide or vitamin B3 is essential to make nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) – the intermediary between Kreb's citric acid cycle and oxidative phosphorylation. It is, therefore, essential for energy production. So any condition requiring energy may benefit from high dose B3. It is of proven benefit in chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes, in many mental disorders with psychosis (see the work of Dr Abram Hoffer), arthritis (see the work of Dr William Kaufman) and some degenerative neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
It appears to work by improving energy delivery so that the business of healing and repair can be powered. This squares with the observations of Dr William Kaufman, who in 1949 showed that niacinamide was an effective treatment almost regardless of the cause of the arthritic damage.
Dose 1500 to 3000 mgs daily. Some authorities suggest that niacinamide in high doses may be toxic. Any such risk would be greatly mitigated by eating stoneage diet and taking the Basic Package of supplements.

CoQ10 Ubiquinone:
Co-enzyme Q 10 is the most important donator and acceptor of electrons in oxidative phosphorylation. Think of it as the oil which allows the engine to run smoothly. In theory the body should be able to synthesise all it needs, but where there are micronutrient deficiencies or fermenting gut, then deficiency is to be expected. It is unusual to see normal blood levels of Co Q 10 in CFSs who are not supplementing.
Oral Ubiquinone may offer improved bio-availability in individuals who have difficulty achieving high levels of this nutrient, such as ageing adults or those concerned with nutrient absorption.
Suggested dose - Take 1 softgel daily with food or as recommended by your healthcare professional.
